Random facts.

Since I'm still unsure about what direction this blog is going to start heading here are some random facts you might find interesting.


1. British sailors got the name "Limeys" because they used lime juice to combat scurvy.

2. The largest species of bat is known as the Giant Golden-Crowned Flying Fox, which has a wing span of over 6 feet.

3. A comet's tail always points away from the sun.

4. Originally BMW manufactured airplane engines.

5. If the entire population of the earth was reduced to 100 people 51 people would be female, 49 would be male; 50% of the world's currency would be held by 6 people, 1 person would be nearly dead, and 1 person would be nearly born.

6. Jupiter's moon Ganymede is larger than the planet Mercury.

7. Flamingos urinate on their legs to cool off.

8. No species of wild plant produces a flower or blossom that is absolutely black. So far none has been developed artificially.

9. Camel milk has 10 times more iron than cow's milk.

10. Catnip can work on lions and tigers as well as house cats. Catnip excites them because it contains a chemical that mimics a dominate female's urine.

Fireball

Okay so I should start this one off by saying that this is UNSAFE FOR CHILDREN!!! All caps because it's important. This is a neat little trick a friend of mine taught me earlier this evening, and I want to share it. It's a way no make a little fireball that you can hold in your hand, throw it around, juggle it, whatever. But since you will be playing with fire chances are you will get burned.

Read that last bit again it's important. Now on to the good bit.

Things you will need.
-3x5 inch piece of cotton cloth (an old piece of t-shirt, napkin, etc.)
-A needle
-A thread (black works best but it's not vital)
-Lighter fluid, or rubbing alcohol
-Lighter or matches

Step 1. Roll your cotton cloth until it forms a nice little ball.

Step 2. Tie the thread to the needle.

Step 3. Poke the needle through the cotton ball, and then wrap the string around your ball so that it stays tight. Once you're almost out of string poke the needle through again, so it won't get untied. Rip off the excess. (The reason black works so well is because it's easy to see where you still need to tie.)

Step 4. Go outside and find somewhere safe, somewhere where there is nothing flammable.

Step 5. Douse the ball with your lighter fluid (or rubbing alcohol) Avoid over soaking and getting any on your hands or they will light up, and it hurts trust me.

Step 6. Light the ball if you added enough lighter fluid it will be hot but not hot enough to burn you.

Step 7. Close your hand on the ball to smother the flame when you're done.

The reason this works is because the lighter fluid get burned up before the cotton that makes it almost safe. Chances are good you will drop the fireball the first few times due to the sheer shock of fire being that close to your hands, but with enough practice you should be able to impress your friends, and scare your mother.

This is another really talented singer on Youtube with less subs than they deserve. Why should you watch this video and not another? Why not?

Persona 3

At the beginning of Persona 3 there's a part where you assign your character a name then he signs his name to a contract; that's you signing your life away to Persona 3. This game is over 100 hours long not including side quest and social linking.

New Games

My copies of Persona 3 & 4 that I ordered came today, I feel kind of bad though. If I had waited one week I wouldn't have bought the games, I would have donated the money to the Red Cross instead. Since the Persona series not only takes place in Japan, and maintains a lot of its Japanese origins, like Yen as money and giving people titles, I'm going to feel bad playing it knowing that the money could have been spent on helping them.

An Experiment

So I guess I can consider this an experiment of sorts. I've never really been to type to open up and share things with strangers on the internet, but they say keeping your feelings bottled up is bad for your health so might as well try this whole "blogging" thing. I'm not sure how much I'll do this, or if I will continue after this first post but I'm here so hello world.
